Spain creates scientific panel to guide climate policy decisions

Spain has approved an independent scientific panel to advise government departments on climate policy, response protocols and future risk scenarios. Its ten-member scientific council is due to start work in autumn, as severe wildfires underline the need to bring expert evidence into decisions during crises.
