New DNA-editing therapy reverses “incurable” blood cancer in some patients

In a world-first clinical trial, a novel treatment used gene-edited immune cells to target and eliminate aggressive T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Out of 11 patients, seven remain disease-free up to three years later — hope that this previously untreatable cancer can be stopped.
