Spain grants legal residency for hundreds of thousands of unregulated persons

The Spanish government is rolling out an extraordinary plan to help over half a million foreigners gain legal status and work permits. The plan applies to anyone who arrived before December 31, 2025, has been living there for at least five months, and maintains a clean criminal record. To ensure everyone receives their criminal record certificates on time, the consulate is extending its hours until 11pm, including weekends.
