Zaragoza named EU Green Capital for 2028 environmental work

EU judges named Zaragoza European Green Capital 2028, citing its governance, biodiversity, green areas, and sustainable land use. The Spanish city received €600,000 to expand environmental work. Benidorm and Estarreja won Green Leaf titles for smaller cities, each with €200,000.
