Robotic sign-language hands are now in 78 Kenyan schools

Kenyan start-up ZeroBionic has placed robotic hands in 78 schools to translate teachers’ speech into sign language in real time. Built in Nairobi for about $350 each, the devices are also helping deaf teachers record technical signs for a dataset Kenya has lacked. The company reports 92% accuracy.
