EU plans bloc-wide social media limits for younger children

The European Commission will propose EU-wide rules banning social media for under-13s, limiting 13- and 14-year-olds to supervised mini accounts, and shifting the duty to platforms to prove services are safe for minors. The plan could replace fragmented national rules, but still needs member-state approval.
