Fifteen northern bald ibises have reached Catalonia from Austria with help from ultralight aircraft, joining a reintroduction project for a species once extinct in Europe. The Spanish site aims to build a breeding colony linked to Austria and Jerez, while a self-sustaining population remains the goal.
