North Carolina crews clear rivers and return sentimental keepsakes

Two years after Hurricane Helene, MountainTrue crews in western North Carolina have removed more than 5.7 million pounds of debris from hundreds of miles of waterways. A state-funded lost-and-found effort also cleans and traces recovered photos, albums and other belongings, returning some to families still rebuilding.
