Researchers at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) have developed a low-cost, portable sensor that detects trace PFAS contamination in water using molecularly imprinted polymers on a fabric strip that bind specifically to PFAS. The findings could give the food industry an easy way to assess water quality and investigate suspected contamination.
