Swedish football fans turn urine into fertilizer at Malmö stadium

EURONEWS

As part of a plan to reduce Sweden’s dependence on imported fossil-fuel-based synthetic fertilizer, the Eleda Stadion was fitted with 15 urinals and one urine-diverting toilet. The collected urine is transformed into Granurin pellets together with oat drink by-products — a slow-release fertilizer for use on crops, oat fields, and football pitches.
