Spain’s government unveiled a Social Climate Plan, co-financed by the European Union, to invest in home energy renovation and transport, including near-free public transit for low-income households. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez noted that since 2018, emissions have fallen by 19% and the share of renewables in electricity generation has risen from 39% to 56%.
