New York City plans 600 more curbside EV charging stations

New York City will expand its curbside EV charging pilot from 88 Level 2 stations to nearly 700, adding 600 units over three years. The rollout targets dense residential areas, lower-income neighborhoods and taxi and rideshare drivers who park on the street, supporting the city’s 2030 electric ride-hail rules.
